Introduction: Why This Article Is Written
At Orb, we hold transparency as not merely a value, but the very heartbeat of any sustainable structure. We believe that no foundation can stand without trust, and no trust can emerge without awareness. This article is a letter from our hearts to the hearts of all those connected to the Orb project—be it founders, teammates, early users, investors, critics, or even the generations yet unborn.
What lies ahead is more than a description of a social platform’s goals. This is a narrative of a profound inward and outward journey—a voyage that began with an unjudging observation of reality, continued through an exploration of human history and collective wisdom, and culminated in the creation of a project that aspires to be more than a product: an infrastructure for the civilization of the future.
With complete honesty and an unreserved voice, we will explain why we built Orb, what fundamental issue lies at the heart of this decision, and how we strived to avoid creating a closed, self-centered system, instead moving toward an open, wise, evolving, and harmonious framework aligned with the essence of humanity and the cosmos. This article is an invitation to join us in building a future where awareness, love, and balance form the pillars of human civilization.
1. The Beginning of the Journey: Seeking Humanity’s Fundamental Issue
We did not initiate the Orb project with the intent to create a social platform, to compete in a market, or to pursue profit alone. Our starting point was a simple yet profound question: What is the true issue facing humanity today?
This question guided us on an inward journey, one requiring humility, the release of preconceptions, and an unjudging observation. We consciously chose to step away from self-centeredness and, instead of relying on our individual perceptions and limited knowledge, acted merely as observers, without direction, judgment, or claim. This choice allowed us to move beyond the filters of the mind, fears, and personal interests, drawing us closer to the truth.
In this process, we first turned to self-work. As founders, we dedicated significant time to self-awareness, introspection, and reducing our judgments. We believe that a mind clouded by fears, prejudices, and immature beliefs cannot perceive truth directly. The mind must become like a clear mirror, reflecting reality rather than distorting it.
Through this unfiltered observation, a deep truth unfolded before us: all of humanity’s crises, from environmental collapse and alienation to inequality and the erosion of ethical structures, stem from a single root: a poverty of awareness and self-awareness.
Awareness is the core of human life. Without it, our decisions become superficial, our relationships misleading, our structures unstable, and our lives directionless. Awareness is the first pillar of any enduring civilization. If this pillar crumbles, no system can withstand the test of time. But what is awareness? It is the ability to see “what is” without the mind’s filters; the capacity to live in the present moment and understand the profound connection between oneself, others, and the universe. Awareness is a bridge between the individual and the collective, between humanity and nature, and between the present and the future.
We realized that the lack of self-awareness has severed humanity from its true self, trapping it in a cycle of fear, competition, and consumerism. This disconnection is the root of many modern crises: from wars and inequalities to the widespread anxiety and depression in contemporary societies. Thus, our mission became clear: we must create a platform that awakens self-awareness in individuals and, from that awakening, builds a more harmonious and wise world.
2. Observing History, Wisdom Keepers, and Uncovering a Shared Truth
To gain a deeper understanding of this truth, we turned to human history, not as chroniclers, but as explorers seeking hidden patterns. History is a tale of rise and fall, but within these cycles, a clear pattern emerged: in every era, individuals have arisen who attained a level of self-awareness, intuition, and insight surpassing their own time.
These figures, Buddha, Laozi, Confucius from the East, and Plato, Rumi, Nietzsche, Einstein, Tesla from the West, despite differences in language, culture, and approach, shared a common thread: a realistic gaze upon the truth of life and existence. Their realism was not passive surrender to reality, but a sincere yearning to see “what is” untainted by the mind’s distortions, fears, or personal gain. They sought to uncover the cosmic laws, the hidden order of the universe, and the mysteries of life.
For instance, Buddha emphasized mindfulness and liberation from self-centeredness, offering a path to inner awakening. Laozi spoke of “Tao” (The Way), advocating harmony with the natural flow of existence. Plato introduced the concept of the “World of Ideas,” urging a search for truth beyond appearances. Rumi celebrated love as the unifying force of the cosmos through his poetry. Nietzsche envisioned the “Übermensch,” a being transcending mental limitations. Einstein and Tesla, through their scientific discoveries, demonstrated that truth lies in alignment with universal laws.
When we placed their works, words, and insights side by side, a shared truth emerged: all pointed to a core essence in human life that is the source of meaning, power, transformation, and ethics, and that essence is “human self-awareness as the self.” Self-awareness, not as narcissism, but as a deep recognition of oneself as part of the whole, serves as a bridge connecting humanity to truth, to others, and to the cosmos.
This discovery led us to a fundamental conclusion: all spiritual, philosophical, scientific, and human paths ultimately converge on a single destination: the self. If human self-awareness is strengthened, the world can be transformed from within. This transformation occurs not through coercion or domination, but through a natural and organic awakening. Self-awareness is like a seed; when planted in the right soil, it grows into a mighty tree whose shade envelops the entire world.
3. Designing a System Rooted in the Core of Self-Awareness
Having grasped this truth, we could no longer remain mere observers. We felt a profound responsibility: to create a platform that could nurture the core of human self-awareness from within and reflect that awakening in the external world. Yet, this design could not rest on individual perception, subjective taste, or limited assumptions. We sought to build a system that aligns with the essence of humanity, cosmic laws, and lived human experience.
In our unfiltered observation, we encountered principles that function like universal natural laws, independent of culture, religion, or time. These principles, such as constant change (Impermanence), balance (Balance), transparency (Transparency), reflection (Reflection), and gradual growth (Gradual Evolution), are the foundations of any sustainable system. We realized that any system aspiring to endure must align with these laws; otherwise, it will eventually collapse.
For example, the law of constant change taught us that nothing is static, neither the universe, nor humanity, nor the system we create. The law of balance reminded us that excess or deficiency, whether in technology or human relationships, leads to instability. The law of transparency guided us toward a system where nothing is hidden, as secrecy erodes trust. The law of reflection showed us that every system must be a mirror for humanity, enabling self-recognition and growth. And the law of gradual growth taught us that transformation does not happen overnight; it requires time, patience, and natural evolution.
Thus, we decided to design a wise core, a core not based on power, pure technology, or personal beliefs, but rooted in collective wisdom, collective intuition, and human experience. We named this core the “Third Factor.” The Third Factor acts as an impartial observer: a bridge between individual minds and social structures, a tool to prevent deviation, and a guardian of the system’s dynamism.
The Third Factor is not a system that dictates decisions, but a space where decisions emerge through the conscious interaction of the collective. This core, like a beating heart, ensures that the system remains aligned with truth, balance, and growth. To construct this core, we identified values that are reciprocal, mutually beneficial, and dynamic, values alive in the collective unconscious of humanity and capable of supporting a new civilization.
4. Architecture of Values: Pillars of a Future Civilization
Every system, to remain stable and enduring, requires pillars to uphold its structure. However, at Orb, we did not seek to build a system founded on power, profit, or domination. Our goal was to design a framework rooted in genuine and human values, values not imposed or advertised, but discovered from the lived experience of humanity.
These values emerged during our journey from intuition, the observation of history, the reflection of cultures, and the collective wisdom of humankind. We framed them as the beating heart of a future civilization, not as rigid laws, but as a living, dynamic field that every individual, community, and generation can engage with and contribute to. Below, we elaborate on these values with greater depth:
Self-Awareness: Returning to the self as the source of awareness, meaning, and ethics. Self-awareness is the ability to see oneself as part of the whole. This value guides humanity from self-centeredness to self-knowledge, enabling decisions from a broader perspective.
Cosmic Love: The unifying and connective force of all things, transcending individual emotions. Cosmic love is the invisible energy that maintains the order of galaxies, preserves the balance of nature, and links human beings. This love, beyond personal relationships, is a universal force capable of uniting communities.
Collective Wisdom: Recognizing truth not through individual authority, but through the conscious interaction of the collective. Collective wisdom acts like a greater mind, formed by the sum of individual minds. This value ensures decisions are made for the common good, not personal gain.
Transparency: Establishing trust by making decisions, processes, and intentions visible. Transparency is like a light that dispels darkness. In a transparent system, nothing remains hidden, strengthening trust as the foundation of every interaction.
Acceptance and Non-Judgment: Viewing the world and others without preconceptions, like a clear mirror. This value liberates humanity from mental judgments, allowing people to see others as they are, not as the mind imagines them to be.
Playfulness and Flexibility: The ability to break free from rigid structures and engage fluidly with reality. Playfulness means living with joy and creativity, even amidst challenges. This value rescues the system from intellectual rigidity and keeps it dynamic.
Intuition: Understanding beyond linear logic; opening the doors of comprehension through inner silence. Intuition acts like a compass, guiding us in moments of ambiguity. This value allows humanity to listen to its inner voice beyond data and analysis.
Balance: Maintaining individuality and collectivity, speed and reflection, structure and freedom simultaneously. Balance is the key to sustainability. A system that ignores balance either falls into extreme individualism or collectivism, both leading to collapse.
Rejection of Authoritarianism: Building a system without a central authority, decentralizing power. This value ensures that no individual or entity can dominate the system, distributing power among the people.
Fluidity and Evolvability: A structure that is perpetually becoming and redefining itself. Fluidity allows the system to adapt to the world’s changes, and evolvability ensures it never stagnates.
We view these values not as fixed rules, but as a living, dynamic field. Orb is intended to be a platform that keeps these values alive, not a structure that freezes them. Every user, developer, or community entering this space can interact with these values, reflect them in their lives, and contribute to their evolution and expansion.
This approach highlights the fundamental difference between a closed system with imposed values and a living ecosystem with discovered values. In a closed system, values are used as tools for control, whereas in a living ecosystem, they function like water and soil, enabling growth. This distinction will be the key to the sustainability of future civilizations.
5. The Principle of Unfinishedness and the Beginner’s Mind (Shoshin)
Perhaps the most significant lesson we learned from human history is this: whenever a system considers itself complete, the beginning of its collapse follows.
The world is like a river that never stops flowing. It changes every moment, perpetually becoming. For a system to remain in harmony with this flow, it must see itself as unfinished, growing, and ready for constant re-creation. Stagnation marks the onset of death.
Civilizations that crumbled throughout history often fell victim to the illusion of “perfection.” They viewed themselves as the center of the universe, deemed their laws final, and resisted change, leading to their inevitable decline. We at Orb have adopted this lesson as the golden rule of sustainability: imperfection and unfinishedness are not weaknesses, but signs of life.
A system that acknowledges its unfinished state is always learning, always growing, and always prepared to evolve with the world. To embody this principle, we turned to a concept from Japanese culture: "Shoshin" , the Beginner’s Mind. Shoshin is a mind that, even at the peak of knowledge and expertise, sees like a child, listens like a newcomer, and remains ever ready for rediscovery. The Beginner’s Mind is an empty mind, free from the pride of knowing, the preconceptions of judgment, and the fear of making mistakes. It is like a blank canvas, ready for a new story to be painted upon it.
We have infused this spirit into every layer of Orb’s design:
In decision-making structures: By prioritizing questions over answers, we have created a space where no decision is final, and revision is always possible.
In user experience design: By avoiding rigid, imposed paths, we have empowered users to find their own way.
In the core value system: By emphasizing continuous review and collective redefinition, we keep values alive and dynamic.
In technology: By designing an infrastructure capable of constant evolution, we prevent technological stagnation.
At Orb, we aim to foster a culture of creative uncertainty, where not knowing is not a weakness, but a sign of readiness to know more. This mindset will pave the way for civilizations that soar not on the shoulders of authority, but on the wings of humility and curiosity. The Beginner’s Mind reminds us that every ending is a new beginning, and every failure is an opportunity for learning.
6. The Civilizational Singularity: Rethinking Human Leadership
We stand at a historical moment from which there is no turning back. This moment is not merely a transition from one generation to the next, but a qualitative shift in the trajectory of human civilization, a moment we call the “Civilizational Singularity.” The Civilizational Singularity is a time when all existing structures, politics, economics, technology, and culture become inadequate, limited, and unresponsive in the face of humanity’s new awareness.
This is not the first time such a moment has occurred in human history. Transitions from hunter-gatherer societies to agriculture, or from feudalism to the Renaissance, are examples of civilizational singularities. However, today, the scope of this singularity is global. We now find ourselves at a point where everything we once knew, every pattern we grew accustomed to, and every structure we relied upon no longer meets the needs of the present world.
When we gaze at the current state of the Earth with a truthful and unjudging eye, harsh realities emerge: climate change threatening life, widespread inequalities deepening the divide among humans, alienation severing our connection from nature and ourselves, and the collapse of trust in traditional institutions and systems. These realities echo a fundamental question within us: Who should guide the world? What system is worthy of leading humanity toward a prosperous, wise, and sustainable civilization?
Today, much of the world is governed by politicians whose decisions are rooted in power, self-interest, and competition. The outcomes are evident: endless wars, pervasive poverty, environmental crises, human alienation, eroded trust, and structures that no longer align with humanity’s current awareness. We believe that the aware human of today requires a different kind of leadership, not individual-centric, machine-driven, or ideological, but leadership grounded in collective wisdom, awareness, intuition, and enduring human values.
This leadership is like an orchestra, where each individual, community, and culture plays an instrument, yet all are guided by a greater harmony, a harmony born of collective wisdom, cosmic love, and balance. Orb aims to be a platform for the emergence of such leadership, not through imposition, but by providing a space where individuals can listen to their inner voice and, together, shape the future.
7. Stories: Beacons in the Darkness
One might wonder: Is there a way out of this darkness? Can we transcend these crises?
Fortunately, the answer lies within human nature, within our capacity for imagination and the creation of stories.
Since the dawn of history, humanity has propelled itself forward with stories. Before science and technology provided us with modern tools, it was stories that gave us “vision.” Tales like Jules Verne’s journey to the moon, Arthur C. Clarke’s communication satellites, or the imagined smart cities and extraterrestrial civilizations in science fiction illustrate that imagination is the precursor to every great transformation.
Stories are not mere entertainment; they shape the geometry of collective imagination. Imagination is like a seed planted in the human mind, which, over time, blossoms into reality. Stories have always been beacons that have pulled humanity out of darkness, not with scientific truth, but with the possibility of a better future.
At Orb, we too have leaned on the power of stories, not to escape reality, but to construct a new one. We envision a future where wisdom, love, and awareness guide decisions; a future where humanity lives in harmony with nature, coexists peacefully with technology, and finds peace within itself. This future is one where humans are not rivals, but fellow travelers on a path of growth and awakening. We believe such a future is possible if we dare to imagine it, design it with love, and build it with transparency.
We have begun a story in which humanity returns to itself, to its true self, to nature, and to one another. A story where technology is a tool for awakening, not domination; where communities are built on love and cooperation, not competition and division. This story is not just a dream; it is a blueprint for a future that can become real if we approach it with bold imagination, loving design, and transparent creation.
8. Our Mission: Returning the Guidance of Civilization to Aware Humans
This is where the Orb project finds its true meaning. We have not come to build a social network, launch a tech company, or add another platform to the world. We have come to lay the foundation for a civilizational infrastructure that paves the way for future generations.
Our goal is to create a system that future generations can redefine and reconstruct with the progress of their awareness, not one that enslaves them. We do not wish to hold the reins of the future in our hands. Instead, we seek to return it to the people of the Earth. We believe the future belongs to aware humans, those who guide the world with love, wisdom, and transparency.
To this end, we have defined a secondary mission: to build an open-source, decentralized, and free system called Love Engine, or L.E. for short.
Love Engine will be the pulsating heart of Orb’s dynamism. This system will have open code, public decision-making, and ownership vested in the people. Through Love Engine, the Orb platform will not remain in our hands or those of any central entity. Instead, generations, users, communities, and the global collective wisdom will take up its guidance.
Love Engine is like a tree, its roots planted in the soil of awareness and its branches reaching toward the sky of love and wisdom. This system empowers users to participate in its evolution, redefine its rules, and expand its values. This is not merely a technical decision, but an ethical covenant: we do not seek to control the future, we seek the freedom of awareness.
Love Engine also ensures that Orb never becomes a closed structure. Designed as a living entity, it grows and evolves with each generation, user, and community. This is a way to guarantee that Orb remains in service to awareness and the collective good, not to power or profit.

9. What Is the Orb Project?
Conclusion, Definition, and Invitation
After all that has been said, we can now articulate with greater clarity what the Orb project is, not just to describe it, but to invite participation from a place of authenticity and depth.
Orb is not a social network. Orb is not a tech company. Orb is not even just a platform.
Orb is a civilizational project. It is a conscious, loving, and wise response to humanity’s most pressing question: How can we build a world that is wise, free, empathetic, and sustainable?
Orb is an endeavor to create a living, transformative platform that:
Is rooted in human self-awareness, guiding people back to their true selves.
Aligns with cosmic laws, maintaining balance at its core.
Is governed by collective wisdom, listening to every human voice.
Upholds discovered, shared values as its pillars, keeping them alive.
Designs its structure as open-source, decentralized, and returnable to the people, ensuring no one dominates it.
And ultimately, rather than dominating the future, opens the path for future generations of the aware.
Through unjudging observation, we explored a history of thought and intuition. We discovered the “self”, not as a psychological or mystical concept, but as the core of life’s order. We realized that the path to any sustainable civilization begins within the human self. And this beginning requires awakening, an awakening that springs from self-awareness and leads to love, wisdom, and balance.
The Orb project is a story we have begun from the darkness of today’s world to illuminate the tomorrow of humanity. It is a tale of return to the self, to nature, to one another, and truth. It is a narrative of a world where humans are not enemies, but fellow travelers on a path of awareness and growth. A world where technology serves as a tool for awakening, not domination; where communities are built on love and cooperation, not competition and division.
Yet, no story reaches its destination without its heroes. And the heroes of this story are those who awaken, those who wish to actively, consciously, and lovingly contribute to building a better world. The heroes are those who believe a different world is possible, a world more humane, wiser, freer, where every human, every being, and every particle of existence lives in harmony and peace.
Final Invitation: Join Us
If you, too, have heard an echo of this call within yourself; if you feel that what you have read here has touched something deep inside you; if you, too, believe that another world can be built, a world more humane, wiser, freer, we extend to you a hand of friendship and collaboration.
This is not an invitation to follow or join, but a call to genuine participation in building a civilization. At Orb, we seek not followers, but fellow travelers who will walk with us, imagine with us, build with us, and evolve with us.
The Orb project has now begun, not in servers, not in code, not even in documents, but in the hearts of those who choose to live consciously. This project belongs to you, to us, to all who believe the future can be brighter, more beautiful, and more harmonious.
Let us write this story together. Let us build a world that future generations will look upon with pride and say, “Here, humanity rediscovered itself.”
And it is no mere coincidence that John Lennon’s “Imagine” stands as the world’s number one song, a timeless anthem that transcends borders and generations. Its lyrics paint a vision of a world without possessions, without greed, where peace and unity reign, a vision strikingly aligned with Orb’s aspirations. Like a cosmic whisper, “Imagine” captures the power of collective dreaming, a melody that echoes the very essence of our journey: the belief that by daring to envision a better world, we can sing it into existence. Just as Lennon’s voice stirred the souls of millions, Orb invites you to join this chorus, where every note of awareness and love builds the symphony of a new civilization.
